The decision to favour Aloe Arborescens derives from its concentration of active principles, which is three times greater than that of its 'cousin', Aloe Vera. The choice of using the 'whole leaf', is due to the fact that its percyclic portion, the one just beneath the green 'peel', contains a yellowish lymph, where the most relevant active principles are found. These active principles are not stabilized and dissipate quite rapidly: hence the decision to make a fresh product. The decision to make an organic product has been made to provide it with added value and to further guarantee the product’s quality to the consumer. No preservatives or additives are added to the preparation. The recipe used by our farm is an ancient Brazilian recipe made known by Father Romano Zago. It contains about 60% honey and 40% aloe to which a small quantity of distillate is added: the honey and the grappa act as natural preservatives as well as natural vehicles for many active principles which otherwise would not be assimilated. It is packaged and shipped by express courier throughout Italy and Europe
Honey has the ability to increase the effects of some important principles of Aloe Arborescens and to preserve the preparation in a natural manner keeping it absolutely fresh
Used as the conveyer of certain principles, this distillate is obtained from soft organic grain, this being high quality raw material for the distillation; rarely used it allows for an alcohol of the highest attributes. Being organic it excludes the presence of contaminants and unwanted volatile substances that could be present in ordinary alcohols.
The distillate of grain does not represent an obstacle in the consumption of the product for those who suffer of gluten intolerance (celiac disease) because the distillation process deprives the alcohol of proteins like gluten
